We had a briefing today from DBA (the Design Business Association) which will take place throughout Feb and will culminate in a pitch to some top designers.
The brief is fantastic. Working in a group of four, myself, Alec, Joe Lindley and Jonny Pell, we're to create a brand for the imminent Hyperloop travel project, currently in production in America and founded by owner of Paypal & Tesla, Elon Musk.
The brief immediately appealed to me due to the sci fi nature of the product at hand - I'm a sucker for the space age and high technology. I'm also really happy with the group we've selected and there were some great ideas floating around instantly.
Our first task is to research the Hyperloop in detail and then look into existing branding for transport and high technology as a whole. We want some solid ideas down by Wednesday, when DBA come back for a crit.
